The Road is an innovative Irish traditional guitar trio hailing from Ireland. Consisting of Brian Byrne from Cork, Patrick Crehan from Tipperay, and Cian Ó Moráin from County Kerry. They combine a number of musical influences from Irish Traditional, to Scottish, and rock music to create a fresh and unique sound.
Brian and Patrick have been playing together since undertaking a B.A in Irish music and dance in the University of Limerick in 2016, and combined have played across Europe, Africa, and soon to be North America. Cian Ó Moráin is a multi instrumentalist from Country Kerry, which is known for it’s lively polka and slide playing. Cian completed the M.A. in Irish Traditional Music Performance in the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance in the University of Limerick. Cian plays guitar, whistles and piano. The trio have achieved musical success back home in Ireland having qualified to the National Finals in a number of highly competitive events. The Road have a multi instrumental repertoire of mostly Irish Traditional Music, with Irish and Scottish folk songs. Cian is the co founder and owner of Brìgh Music and Tea on Water Street in Downtown Charlottetown were Brian and Patrick also work with Co-Owner Mary McGillvary.

It’s an open jam if you’re 19+ so bring your fiddles, pipes, guitars, flutes, banjos, accordions and whatever else you’ve got and join in the music. No spoons please ….Cynthia is allergic to them.
